This piece is inspired by the Pahlavi Crown, a symbol not only of monarchy, but of a defining transformation in modern Iranian history.
During the Pahlavi era, Iran underwent a series of structural reforms that fundamentally reshaped the role of women in society. Legal reforms granted women the right to education, participation in the workforce, and eventually the right to vote. Women entered universities, professions, and public life in ways that had not previously been possible at scale.
This crown, in that context, came to represent more than authority.
It became associated with a period in which visibility, presence, and agency for women expanded in measurable and irreversible ways.
This design reinterprets that symbol through form and detail.
Crafted in 930 sterling silver, the earrings feature a crown structure enriched with multiple precision-set stones, creating a surface that reflects light from every angle. Despite the visual complexity, the piece remains lightweight and wearable, balancing presence with comfort.
Two variations are offered:
One preserving the green stone accents of the original crown,
and one rendered entirely in clear stones, emphasizing form and brilliance.
This is not just a decorative piece.
It is a reference to a moment when the definition of presence changed.
A crown, not as inheritance,
but as something earned, expanded, and reclaimed.
